The K9 Kitt Foundation is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing relief to injured K9 teams across the country, supporting law enforcement by providing essential resources, training, and equipment to K9 units. Our mission is to honor the legacy of Kitt by ensuring the safety and effectiveness of K9 teams, Guardian of the Guardians.

WHO WE ARE

K9 Kitt’s Story

On June 4th, 2021, Officer William Cushing and his partner, K9 Kitt, embarked on their final mission together. After ten years of service, Kitt made the ultimate sacrifice, shielding his team during a dangerous confrontation with an armed suspect.

In honor of Kitt’s bravery, Officer Cushing founded the K9 Kitt Foundation in June 2022 to support K9 teams nationwide.
